Steelcase Inc. is not just a furniture company but also an organization involved in the communities they're a part of. Often when Steelcase makes a supportive contribution, they are thanked with an invitation to place an ad in the community's publication. I was hired to develop a series of ads that would work for a variety of these types of publications, in support of a number of different event types (symphony, diversity training, Cancer awareness, etc.)
The concept I developed ties in the Steelcase purpose statement with the community, bringing relevance to the support provided. The copy is brief and open, invitational. The visuals are energetic, playful, and inviting, using simple open white space to allow the reader to just delight in these abstract expressions.
The result is a series of five adaptable sized ads, resized according to publication needs.
